The Garfield was built by Charles F. Lewis, for his wife. All windows and doors work. It has individually cut and finished hardwood floors, real bricks where called for, with rooms individually wired and each light operates by switch. The staircases were veneered with walnut. Each step has seven (7) individual pieces of wood. The house took almost 3000 hours to complete.
